We can often live in servitude towards the ones we love.
We can start to think:
What is it that they want?
What is it that they need?
What is it that they value?
We can focus on loving them so much and wanting their love in return that we can forget to focus on ourselves.
Time goes by and we can find ourselves thinking:
What about me?
What is it I want?
What is it I need?
What is it that I value?
How would it feel to have a partnership with your lover in which both of your needs and values were met? How would it feel to be truly happy with the one you were with? How would it feel to have the love of dreams? How would it feel to have everything your heart desires?

Empowerment truly comes from within. It is only once we find what we truly want and desire that we can be empowered to achieve it.
How would it feel if you were able to choose the relationship you desired? What would it mean if the relationship you chose made you feel the way you want? What if instead of looking for what you want in your relationship, your relationship gave you what you want.

As young souls we read literature, see movies, watch TV, and visit theaters that share stories of love. In these stories we learn the idea of true love and its ability to conquer all. We see the fairytale endings of characters full of happiness and receiving everything their hearts have ever desired.
What we don't learn from these stories is what true love is. Because of this lack of information on what true love is, we go through life searching for something labeled true love without the knowledge or even a clue of what it really is, or what it is we really want.
The result of this is disappointment and painful feelings of hurt through relationships gone wrong. We as sensitive beings then start to think, "Well I guess the idea of true love is just a story." The mind sets it's self in a protective mode.
This protective mode is miss labeled as reality. We think to ourselves "Those are just stories, this is how real life is and this is as good as it gets."
The issue isn't that those stories are fantasies and in real life you don't get a fairytale ending. The issue is, that those stories never taught us what we truly want. And how could they teach us? Everyone is different and what is true love to one individual and what they desire is different from the next.
Instead of looking at the stories from an outside perspective of what the characters portrayed when they were in love, we as longing lovers can look inside ourselves and see what it is we want. Once we figure out what it is we want, we then have the ability to push outward to display what our fantasy and true love scenario truly is.
